Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly (account details, health and fitness data, preferences) and information collected automatically (device type, app usage, crash reports). Payment information is processed securely through Stripe—we do not store credit card details.

Personal Information

• Health & fitness data: measurements, workout history, meal plans
• Location data: only for nearby gyms/restaurants (with permission)

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to generate personalized workout and meal plans, track progress, provide AI coaching, process payments, and improve our services. We send important updates only—no marketing without your consent.

Waitlist Emails

If you join the waitlist on biotrainer.ai, we store your email address, the page section you signed up from, and your browser's user-agent string. We do not store your IP address. We use the email only to tell you when BioTrainer is available, and only because you ticked the consent box. Email privacy@biotrainer.ai to have it removed at any time.

Third-Party AI Processing

Kova, BioTrainer's AI coach, sends a subset of your fitness data—such as workouts, recovery, sleep, nutrition, and similar metrics—to third-party AI providers (currently Google Gemini and models hosted via Replicate) so it can generate coaching responses and recommendations. We ask for your explicit, revocable consent in the app before any such data is sent, and you can withdraw it at any time in Settings → Privacy. Raw clinical records (e.g. medication or allergy details imported from Apple Health) are never sent to these providers—only coarse, de-identified safety flags derived from them. These providers are contractually required to protect your data with security measures equivalent to our own and may not use it to train their models.

Data Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase with encryption at rest. We use industry-standard security measures. Third-party services include Supabase, Replicate (AI), Stripe (payments), and Apple/Google (authentication).

Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data. You may opt out of certain data collection, though this may limit app functionality.
